Hailed from Burdwan district, disciple of Holy Mother. Personal attendant of Swami Saradananda and ordained into sannyasa by him. Talented poet and eloquent speaker. After severing ties with Belur Math (1929), worshipped Yogeshwari Mahamaya for twelve years. Founded Sri Sri Yogeshwari Ramakrishna Math at Bhatta Nagar in Liluah, Howrah and Founder-Editor of Sri Ma Sarada, monthly organ of the Math. Author of Sri Sri Ramakrishna Brahmavidya and Sarada Geetika in verse. President and Head of Mahesh Shri Ramakrishna Ashram from 1960. Also founded Basugaon Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama in Assam. Died at the Bhatta Nagar Ashrama on 29.12.72 at the age of 79.
