From the very beginning of his stay, Maharaj devoted himself wholeheartedly to the welfare of the institution. On 1 July 1993, Swami Subratananda Maharaj entered Mahasamadhi at the age of 80, following a heart ailment. Though he departed from the physical world, the values he embodied and the ideals he cherished remain alive in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
